Conveyors by Comac
Sometimes unfairly considered only as a simple connection between different machines for the handling of containers, boxes and pallets, conveyors are indeed a critical point of kegging and bottling lines.
In more than twenty years of activity, Comac Group has designed, manufactured and installed a relevant number of plants with nominal outputs going from a few hundreds to a hundred thousand units for 6000 hours per year.
In order to satisfy such a range of specific requests, Comac studies the most adequate type of conveyors for each single layout, so as to reduce handling and maintenance costs and, consequently, the price of its plants.
An accurate study leads to the choice of stainless steel or plastic components, self-lubricating oscillating support or traditional supports with central lubrication system.
The group formed by gear motor and frequency converter, energy saving and reduction of the noise generated by accumulations are fundamental points for Comac Group.
The solutions applied are: careful dimensioning of the gear motor assembly with high efficiency motors and maximum reduction of sliding friction in case of accumulation of containers on the conveyor chains, obtained by means of dedicated software.
Besides, motor starts and stops according to the real necessities of the line. The efficiency of the motors has been improved using brushless motors instead of asynchronous motors, in order to reduce the power losses due to magnetizing currents.
These measures result in a significant energy saving.
An area where Comac devotes special attention is the possibility to modify and integrate new equipment on existing layout. Through a specific study, Comac Group manufactures a complete revamping of old systems, updating in accordance with applicable regulations.
