Comac has been awarded the Odysseus prize from Confindustria Bergamo
The greatest possible satisfaction for Comac! Our company has been awarded first prize for the fifth edition of the Odysseus award, from Confindustria Bergamo (the Italian employers’ federation) dedicated to the small and medium enterprises committed to innovation for the category “Organizational Innovation and Company Welfare“. Comac, represented by Giuliana Rossini (head of Human Resources) and Daniele Gotti (chief of Operations for the Technical Department), has been awarded for the project “Smart Company: The holistic philosophy that sets the human resource at the heart of the organization”.
The project embraces all the company departments, and is inspired by the lean philosophy, as acknowledged in the presentation:
To promote a business model, Comac takes its inspiration from the lean philosophy, applied to the several departments of the company, where all human resources are at the heart of the organization. All the office spaces have been redesigned to stimulate smart working, with a relax area equipped with a gym, and a multi-sensory garden to meet the company’s green vocation. The new vertical warehouse has been designed to automate the handling of materials, while the new welding line allows for maximizing the processing phases.
The prestigious award was assigned during the Confindustria Bergamo annual meeting, at the Donizetti theatre, and was handed over to Giuliana Rossini and Daniele Gotti by Mr. Vincenzo Boccia, chairman of Confindustria, together with Mr. Ercole Galizzi, chairman of Confindustria Bergamo, and Mr. Ennio Gualandris from Radici Group, the sponsor company for the category.
